Nancy Fritz

Nancy Fritz joined the Shoe Kansas City board after convincing two important partners to join our annual drive: the Shawnee Mission School District and the National Education Association – Shawnee Mission. You might say she had the right contacts: she has been an educator in the Shawnee Mission School District since 1975 and is serving her fourth year as President of the NEA-Shawnee Mission.

Nancy grew up in the Kansas City area and has spent her 33-year career teaching in local preschools, elementary schools and high schools. She has been an active volunteer in NEA-Shawnee Mission for many years and a longtime member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a professional honorary society of women educators. In 2009, Nancy also served on the Shawnee Mission School District’s Five Year Planning Committee, which developed the plan under which that district currently operates.

Nancy received her BA in Education from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, her Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University-Kansas City and her certification as a Library Media Specialist from the University of Missouri.
